The VX220 Turbo is the Vauxhall-badged cousin of the Lotus Elise, built at Hethel on the same bonded aluminium chassis principles but with a turbocharged 2.0-litre General Motors engine. With 197 bhp in a very light mid-engined roadster, it is quick and uncompromisingly analogue. Only around 1,940 Turbos were made, which makes it far scarcer than the Elise it shadows.
This 2003 car has covered 67,005 miles and has had three owners. It has been fully repainted in its original pearlescent yellow, and the interior is black leather with a black mohair hood. Equipment includes Speedline alloys, a Momo steering wheel, alloy pedals and a rear lip spoiler.
It comes with a 12-stamp service book, MOT history and the handbook.
