Terms of use
The short version: Vertar shows you what the UK’s specialist dealers have for sale; the cars, and any deal, are between you and the dealer. Last updated 8 November 2026.
What Vertar is
Vertar collects listings from specialist dealers’ own websites and shows them in one place, with prices, history and market data. Vertar doesn’t sell cars, isn’t a dealer or a broker, and isn’t part of any sale.
The listings
- Prices are the dealers’ asking prices on the day we read them. Details, photos and availability come from the dealers and can change or be wrong.
- Always check a car, its history and its price with the dealer before you buy. Nothing on Vertar is advice to buy or sell any car.
- Market figures (counts, averages, price changes, sales) are worked out from the listings we’ve seen and are a guide, not a valuation.
Contacting dealers
Enquiries you send through Vertar go to the dealer, who answers you directly. Anything you agree with a dealer is between you and them. See the privacy page for what happens to your details.
The Vertar Show
The show talks about cars for sale on Vertar, as a chat, not advice. If you write to [email protected] or comment on the show, you’re happy for us to read or quote it on the show and in its posts, by your first name (or the name you comment under). Tell us if you’d rather we didn’t, and we won’t.
Using what’s here
- You’re welcome to read, share and link to anything on Vertar.
- Vertar’s design, writing, data and the show belong to Vertar; car photos and descriptions belong to the dealers. Please don’t copy the site or its data in bulk or scrape it. To use our data in an AI assistant, use the connector described on the AI page.
- Don’t use Vertar or its forms to send spam, abuse, or anything unlawful.
Dealers
If you’re a dealer and want your stock listed differently, or not at all, see for dealers or write to [email protected].
Liability
We work hard to keep Vertar accurate and available, but it’s provided as it is, and we can’t promise it’s always complete, current or online. As far as the law allows, Vertar isn’t liable for any loss from relying on a listing, a figure or the show, or from dealing with a dealer. Nothing here limits anything that can’t legally be limited.
Changes, and the law
We may update these terms; the date at the top says when. They’re governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions: [email protected].
