The Vauxhall 30/98 is one of Britain's first true sporting cars, and this E-type, chassis E232, is one of only 27 surviving from the 274 built. The dealer dates it to 1921, though the page also refers to it as a 1922 car.
It is set up for hill climbing, competition and fast road use. The page says it set the fastest recorded time for a 30/98 E-type at Prescott, 58.4 seconds. The four-seat Velox tourer body is a light alloy affair left in raw aluminium, with lightweight black leather seats and freshly trimmed black leather side panels.
Jeremy Brewster serviced the car in 2014. It comes with two sets of front wheels and the original unbraked front axle. There are also two pairs of headlamps: nickel for shows and brass for trialling and racing. It is VSCC registered.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Engine figures for the 1921 E-type 30/98 (98 x 150 mm side-valve four, 4,525cc) are from Vauxhall's period specifications. No verified factory figures exist for the power, weight or performance of the Velox Tourer, so those are left null.).
