The Conquest Drophead Coupe is a rare Daimler: the page says only 54 were built between 1955 and 1957. This 1956 car has a 2.4-litre six-cylinder engine and a four-speed Wilson pre-selector gearbox. The body is part steel and part aluminium, and a side-facing rear seat makes it a three-seater.
It is finished in navy blue over Old English white. The red leather has been redone, with new red carpets, and a new mohair hood and hood bag have been fitted. The car was restored a few years ago, spent time with a Norwegian owner and has since had extensive work. It shows 51,000 indicated miles.
The history is unusual. The car is anecdotally said to have belonged to Harry Houghton, the Portland spy ring figure, and was later bought from a police impound yard. A large history file, Daimler books and service manuals come with it.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Daimler period factory figures (2,433 cc twin-carb Century-spec six, 100 bhp). Weight, top speed and 0-60 left null because I'm not sure of the factory figures.).
£42,000 since it was listed on 8 November 2026. No changes yet.
