The DB5 is the Aston Martin most people picture first, thanks to its James Bond association. Only about 1,000 were built at Newport Pagnell, which makes it scarcer than the DB4 or DB6 around it. This 1965 car has the 4.0-litre straight-six and a 5-speed manual gearbox.
It is finished in Silver Birch with a refurbished matt black leather interior. The car has had a body-off restoration by Aston Martin specialists GTC Engineering near Silverstone, begun in 2006. The work included a full engine strip and rebuild to original specification, with a high-torque starter motor fitted.
The restoration is said to be documented with photographs and invoices for every part, totalling £260,000. The price is on application and the car is currently reserved. The page gives no mileage.
