This left-hand-drive DB5 is one of only about 65 cars built with the Vantage-specification engine, here fitted with Weber 45 DCOE carburettors. It left Newport Pagnell in July 1965 in Silver Birch with dark blue Connolly leather, built for export to Portugal with a km/h speedometer, chrome wire wheels, a five-speed ZF manual gearbox and a Blaupunkt radio.
It stayed with one Portuguese family from 1976 to 2017, was shown in the Caramulo museum for part of that time, and had a warranted 51,228 km when it left. Its body shell was judged unusually original by the specialists who worked on it, and only both door skins needed replacing.
The current owner commissioned a conservation-minded restoration. The original engine was rebuilt to 4.2-litre specification, the gearbox and rear axle were refurbished, and the car was repainted in its factory colour. The original interior was kept, apart from re-trimmed door cards. It was finished in July 2025 and comes with a comprehensive history file covering its provenance and restoration.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Aston Martin's published period figures for the Vantage engine: 3,995 cc straight-six with triple Webers, 314 bhp (gross). No confident factory figures for weight, top speed or 0-60, so these are null.).
