The TR5 was Triumph's fuel-injected stop-gap between the TR4 and the TR6, built for only about 13 months. Roughly 1,100 were made for the UK, which is why it has become one of the more sought-after TRs.
This car was delivered new to the UK in 1969 and is finished in Signal Red. It has overdrive, wire wheels, a tonneau cover and an alloy Surrey top with headlining. The page quotes nearly 150 bhp in a car of around 900 kg. Revington TR has set it up with a Bosch pump, an alloy fuel tank and higher overdrive gearing for touring.
It has had a body-off restoration, including the engine and gearbox, and has covered only a few thousand miles since. The history file includes a Heritage certificate, restoration photographs and invoices. It has had five owners, the last of whom kept it for eight years. The dealer supplies it serviced and inspected with 12 months' warranty.
