This 1957 Triumph TR3 is a left-hand-drive car built to fast-road specification rather than kept as a factory original. Its engine has been bored out to 2.3 litres and fitted with a steel crank, Carrillo rods, forged pistons, a performance camshaft, a Stage 3 head and twin DC45 Weber carburettors. Power goes through an uprated TR6 gearbox with overdrive and a limited-slip differential.
The chassis has also been worked on, with uprated front dampers and leaf springs, a front anti-roll bar and rack-and-pinion steering. Other fittings include 72-spoke wire wheels on Avon tyres, an aluminium fuel tank, an oil cooler and an electronic rev counter. Four-point harnesses are supplied with the car, though lap belts are currently fitted.
It is finished in Apple green, a colour used on period Monte-Carlo rally TRs, with a green mohair hood, tonneau and side screens. The dealer says a documented restoration cost around £80,000 and that a thick file of bills and photographs backs it up. The car was built for use at its owner's French home and has covered about 14,000 miles since the work was finished. The page gives no odometer reading.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Standard-Triumph published engine data (1991cc twin-SU four, 100 bhp gross from late 1956); weight, top speed and 0-60 left null because the factory figures can't be confirmed (published figures were mostly road-test results).).
£30,000 since it was listed on 6 November 2026. No changes yet.
