About this car

This Series 1 4.2 E-Type was built in December 1964 and delivered new to New York Jaguar in January 1965. It came back from the United States in the 1990s, when it was restored and converted to right-hand drive. It was a regular at shows through that decade and picked up several Best in Show awards.

The current owner bought it in 2012. A mechanical refresh followed in 2013 and a bodywork refresh in 2019. It has matching numbers and has been prepared by E-Type UK.

The upgrades are aimed at making it easier to drive: a T5 five-speed gearbox (the original four-speed comes with the car), Coopercraft brakes, an SS sports exhaust, an uprated cooling fan, electronic ignition, a halogen headlight conversion and LED instrument lights.
