Ford Capri 2.8 Injection

The 2.8 Injection was Ford's answer to the end of the Essex-engined 3.0-litre Capri: a Cologne V6 enlarged to 2.8 litres with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, developed by Special Vehicle Engineering. It is widely regarded as the best all-round Mk3, with around 158 bhp and a four-speed manual gearbox.

This early car, first registered in May 1983, is finished in gloss black with a Shark Grey velour interior and Recaro front seats. It is said to have an unwelded bodyshell with its original panels and no accident damage. It has covered 74,000 miles and has had five owners. The current owner bought it from the dealer in 2021.

Upgrades include a Ford ZF limited-slip differential fitted by Ric Wood Motorsport, Bilstein dampers, Gartrac rear leaf springs, a Capri Sport GR260 front brake kit and a Magnex stainless exhaust. It also has a new fuel tank, pump and accumulator, and the steering rack was refurbished in 2022. Brake fluid was renewed in 2025. It rides on the original 13-inch pepper pot alloys and comes with a history file and spare keys. The dealer plans a further inspection and some underbody treatment before handover.
