Listed today at Export 56, Cranfield.
The 21-window Samba Deluxe, also known as the Alpine, is the most sought-after of the split-screen VW buses. 1964 was the first year it was built, and the roof-mounted skylight windows were intended for touring in the mountains. This one is a 1964 car in turquoise and white with a cream leatherette interior.
It is a right-hand-drive example, which is unusual because the car was supplied new to Sweden. It has a 1.6-litre engine and a four-speed manual gearbox. The odometer reads 52,853 miles, and the car is registered EBY 423B.
The dealer describes the bus as very original. It was offered together with a 1970 Yvonne Mostard caravan. The listing shows the car as sold.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (General VW T1 specs, not checked against a VW source; power, size and speed left null as the 1964 Samba came with 1200 (34 PS) or 1500 (42 PS) engines).
