TVR V8S

The V8S was TVR's first V8-powered car of the modern era, pairing a 4.0-litre Rover V8 with a five-speed manual gearbox in a body weighing just over a tonne. The page puts production at 410 cars and says only a small number remain taxed and tested, which makes this one a scarce survivor.

This example is finished in pearlescent white and shows 35,000 miles. It is said to have spent its life in Jersey, which would have spared it much of the salt and weather of mainland use. It is a pre-catalyst car with a split roof that stows in the boot.

The dealer's workshop has serviced the engine, gearbox and differential, and fitted new discs, pads, braided brake hoses, Falken tyres, a clutch master cylinder, anti-roll bar bushes and fuel lines. The steering column has been rebuilt and the geometry set up, and a Sabelt steering wheel is fitted, with the original wheel included. It is described as tidy and honest rather than concours.
