This 1959 Triumph TR3A has had an unusual life for a British sports car of its age. It was first registered in July 1959 and exported to the USA, then returned to the UK in 1999. It was converted to right-hand drive in 2012.
The car has been through a long programme of mechanical work under its last owner, who bought it in 2005 and has kept it for 27 years. The engine was fully rebuilt in 2018 with an uprated Newman camshaft, a reground crankshaft and new pistons and liners. Later work added 1.5-inch SU carburettors, a big-bore exhaust and a complete rewire. The gearbox has been rebuilt and has overdrive, and the rear axle has TR4 gearing.
Trim is red paint with black leather, including purpose-made seats with headrests and a new mohair hood. The odometer reads 18,100 miles. Invoices and records of expenditure are said to be available. The car is listed as arriving shortly, and the price is on application.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Standard-Triumph factory specification (100 bhp gross, 1991cc twin-SU four). Performance and weight figures from that era come from magazine road tests, not the factory, so they're left null.).
