Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I

This 1975 Silver Shadow I was supplied new by Mann Egerton & Co of Berkeley Street, London, and delivered to its first owner in Dorset in September 1975. It is offered at a modest price for a Rolls-Royce of the period, and the paperwork is unusually complete.

The file includes copies of the original bill of sale and specification, the fifty-page factory history book with build and road test reports, MOT certificates back to 1984 and a photographic record of a professional body restoration. Service entries run from Mann Egerton in the late 1970s through to recent years, and the dealer puts spending since 1986 at more than £23,000. That includes a gearbox recondition, cylinder head overhaul, re-bore and brake and suspension work.

The odometer shows 100,160 miles. The car was re-sprayed professionally in 2009 and the dealer describes the paint as good, with some patina from use. The interior is described as original. The dealer first sold it in 2013 and has now taken it back from the same owner.
