Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I

This 1972 Silver Shadow I is a preserved car rather than a restored one, with a displayed 23,680 miles. It is finished in Silver Mink over Caribbean Blue, with white fine lines, blue Connolly hide, grey headlining and mountain blue carpeting. Power comes from the 6.75-litre V8 with a three-speed automatic gearbox.

It was supplied new by St Helier Garages in Jersey and used sparingly by its first owner. It then passed to his son, who brought it to England in 1989 and kept it until 2021. The selling dealer has known the car since 1990 and has maintained it regularly. Recent work includes LED headlights, refinished door cappings and new window felts.

The car has won many concours events. The file includes a 2004 letter from the first owner to the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts' Club magazine, in which he claims 14 class wins in ten years. Also with the car are its books, paperwork, tools, trophies, an original brochure and the factory chassis card. Service history is by Rolls-Royce specialist.
