The Rolls-Royce 20hp was the smaller, more accessible car in the range in the 1920s, and this 1928 example carries a Weymann saloon body. It is described as the original Addlestone-built body, number 270, rather than one made by another coachbuilder under the Weymann patents. Weymann construction is light and fabric-covered, which suits the 20hp chassis. The grey and black fabric is recent.
The car has spent decades with a retired railway engineer, who is said to have rebuilt each component as needed. Additions include an overdrive, switched from a small panel on the dash, which the dealer says allows 60mph cruising. There is also a rear reversing lamp, a front spot lamp, a volt meter alongside the original ammeter, a battery cut-off switch and external charging points. The wiring is stated to be original-style cotton-covered cable.
Inside are grey hide seats and door cards, grey Wilton carpets and burr walnut on the dash and door caps. It runs on original wire wheels with almost new tyres, including the side-mounted spare, and the original undertrays are supplied but not fitted. A motoring trunk with period spares is on the back. The chassis number is GYL49 and the page shows an offer as accepted.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Rolls-Royce 20hp chassis specification (3,127 cc OHV inline-six); Rolls-Royce never published power, and the Weymann body was coachbuilt, so there are no factory weight or performance figures.).
£65,000 since it was listed on 5 November 2026. No changes yet.
