Listed today at SuperVettura, Sunningdale. Last checked today.
The Speedster is the 356 at its most stripped-back, and the 356 A of 1955 onwards is where it found its following. This T1 car comes from the first run of the revised model, which brought a more curved windscreen, smoother bodywork and better build quality than the original.
This 1957 example is finished in black over a red interior, a classic pairing for the model. It is powered by the air-cooled flat-four engine and has benefited from an extensive restoration, though the listing gives no detail on the work carried out.
Mileage, ownership history and full specification have not yet been published, and the price is on application.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Porsche historical specifications. Power, engine size, weight and top speed are left null because the 1957 356 A Speedster was offered as the 1600, 1600 Super and Carrera, and the variant does not say which engine.).
