The 356 C was the last and most refined of Porsche's first production car, built in the final years before the 911 took over. This 1964 1600 C Coupe has the 1.6-litre pushrod flat-four rated at 75 bhp, tuned for torque and longevity rather than outright speed, and is finished in Sky Blue with red trim.
It is a left-hand-drive, US-specification car. First registered in April 1964, it was collected from the factory and exported to California through Dutch dealer Transol Car Sales, and stayed with its first owner in San Diego until the late 1980s. It then came to the UK, spent 1996 to 2002 in Belgium, and returned to the UK. Specification is largely standard, apart from head rests and a Blaupunkt radio.
The car has been fully restored, with a folder of photographs documenting the work. The engine, running gear, suspension and brakes were rebuilt by Maxted Page & Prill. It shows 55,533 miles and comes with an extensive history file.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Porsche AG historical factory data for the 356 C (75 PS DIN, 175 km/h). Only 0-100 km/h was published, so 0-60 mph is not given.).
