Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Super Sports

This 1988 R107 300 SL has been reworked through a "Super Sports" programme, which makes it a more purposeful take on the usual Mercedes roadster. The engine received a sports camshaft and a lower-end rebuild with new rings and bearings, and a stainless exhaust was fitted.

The suspension was replaced with a new set-up and upgraded anti-roll bars, and the car sits lower than standard. The automatic gearbox was kept. It is finished in Pearl Grey Metallic with a grey sports check interior, and comes with a matching hardtop, cruise control, a leather steering wheel and factory rear seat belts.

It shows 64,000 miles. The seller says it has all its history, service books and receipts for the Super Sports work, which total over £45,000. The underbody has recently been dry-ice cleaned.
