The 190 SL paired the look of the 300 SL with a far more modest saloon-derived four-cylinder drivetrain, making it the easier of the two roadsters to live with. It is now among the most sought-after classic Mercedes models.
This 1961 car began life in the USA and came to the UK around 2012. A nut-and-bolt restoration by a marque specialist included a change of colour and a retrim, giving the present silver paint over red leather. It has a manual gearbox and shows 451 miles on the page.
It comes with its matching hardtop and a new red soft top, and sits on period-style whitewall tyres. The current owner bought it from a UK classic and supercar dealer about four years ago and has used it sparingly. The dealer lists a 24-month warranty and an inspection report.
