The 190 SL was Mercedes-Benz's more affordable take on the 300 SL Gullwing, conceived with the US market in mind and built between 1955 and 1963. This is a right-hand-drive car from 1962, finished in Blu Julie, a dark metallic blue, with Beige leather and a Dark Blue canvas hood.
The current owner bought it in 2018 and sent it to SL Classics in Germany for a ground-up restoration. The work included a bare-metal respray, a full retrim, and a mechanical overhaul covering the engine, gearbox, brakes and suspension. It has covered just under 1,200 miles since the work was completed, and comes with a fitted three-piece leather luggage set.
Documentation includes servicing and sundry invoices, MOT certificates dating back to the 1970s and two photo albums recording the restoration.
