Listed today at Hilton & Moss, Bishop's Stortford. Last checked today.
The 190 SL was Mercedes-Benz's more approachable sibling to the 300 SL, sharing its styling cues but pairing them with a 1.9-litre four-cylinder engine and a four-speed manual gearbox. It is a car for relaxed touring rather than outright speed, and remains one of the most recognisable roadsters of the 1950s and 60s.
This 1961 example is finished in DB190 Graphite Grey with a red leather interior. It was delivered new in August 1961 to the USA, and came to the UK in 2018. Little is known of its American history.
The engine has been replaced, so this is not a matching-numbers car, which makes it a usable alternative to a fully restored example. The dealer says it is due a comprehensive service and maintenance as part of the sale. No mileage is stated.
