A matching-numbers 1958 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL in left-hand drive, subject to a comprehensive restoration between 2015 and 2023 at a reported cost exceeding £150,000. The work, carried out by Redcastle Classics and Lux Classics, included a full engine rebuild (£41,000 in 2016) and a colour change from the original White Grey to Anthracite Grey metallic, while the factory Red leather interior was retained. A further £25,000 was spent in 2023 on post-restoration refinements, notably replacing Weber carburettors with the correct-specification Solex PHH44 units — a detail that speaks to the owner's commitment to authenticity.

The car has covered just 585 miles since completion and is accompanied by a detailed history file tracing its life from original delivery at the Rockefeller Centre in New York on 24 November 1958, through importation to the UK in 1989, to the present day.
