The Sprint was the last and fastest of the original Elans, and this fixed-head coupe is a late car, registered in March 1973. It was delivered new to Hexagon of Highgate in Lagoon Metallic Blue over black, a colour the supplied Lotus Certificate of Vehicle Provenance shows was ordered on only a few cars. The page describes it as a matching-numbers example.
It has been restored. The work took an engineer two years and included a correct Lotus galvanised replacement chassis, a Coolex aluminium radiator, uprated rear shock absorbers and refurbished wheels. The interior is described as correct, with its original steering wheel and black vinyl seats.
The odometer reads 46,126 miles. The history file includes the V5C, the Lotus provenance certificate, receipts from specialists such as Mick Miller and Paul Matty, letters from previous owners and a photo album of the restoration. The car is viewable in Buckinghamshire by appointment.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Lotus's quoted output for the Sprint's 1558cc twin-cam engine (126 bhp gross); I couldn't confirm factory weight, top speed or 0-60, so those are null.).
