Listed today at UK Sports Cars, Wingham.
The Elan Sprint was the last and fastest of the original Lotus Elans, with a Big Valve twin-cam engine rated at 126 bhp. This 1971 drophead coupe has been rebuilt from the chassis up, and its engine has been rebuilt to Sprint specification.
Upgrades include a Tony Thomson Racing solid drive-shaft conversion and new chrome three-eared wheel spinners. The car has been freshly serviced and independently MOT tested, even though the Elan is exempt, so the service record stays continuous. The dealer sold the car about seven years ago, and this listing is marked as sold.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Lotus's quoted 126 bhp (gross) for the Big Valve twin-cam; weight, top speed and 0-60 left blank as no confirmed Lotus figures (common ones are magazine road tests)).
