The LG6 was the last and most developed of the Meadows-engined Lagondas, launched in 1937 alongside the Bentley-designed V12. It used a similar cross-braced chassis with independent front suspension, and was good for around 100mph. Only 82 were built, and this drophead coupe is one of just six with this particular bodyshell.
This example, ordered new in October 1937, is finished in deep maroon with a beige hood, twin side-mounted spares in body-coloured covers and matching maroon spoked wheels. The cabin is trimmed in tan Connolly leather with fluted seats, work by Alan Geater from a restoration completed by Cedar Classic Cars in 1998.
The engine was rebuilt by David Wall in 2014–15 and has covered about 500 miles since. The odometer reads 64,380. A large history file dating back to the 1950s accompanies the car, which spent time in the USA between 1977 and 1988 and was once owned by Lagonda Club president Herb Schofield.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Engine details only: 4.5-litre Meadows straight-six, front-engined and rear-wheel drive, built in Staines. I couldn't confirm any factory-published performance or weight figures for this variant, so they are null.).
