This 1930 Lagonda 2 Litre is a low-chassis car with T7 coachwork, which the dealer believes is the only original T7-bodied 2 Litre ever built. That makes it an unusual example of one of the best-regarded sporting tourers of its era.
The car sat in a North Yorkshire barn for about 25 years before it emerged in the early 1990s in well-preserved condition. More recent work includes a repaint of the body in 2019 and a full engine overhaul in 2021. The overhaul included an HCS conversion, which raises capacity to 2.4 litres and, according to the dealer, doubles the original output. The gearbox, differential and brakes were also gone through, and the car has new upholstery, roof and tonneau cover.
Documentation covers every owner from new, with club records, buff log books, period photographs and letters. The car is on German plates with EEC taxes paid, and its original UK registration was OH8844. Chassis number OH9712. Viewing is in Antwerp, Belgium, by appointment.
