The LG45 was Lagonda's reset after the company's 1935 rescue from receivership. It brought a new X-braced frame designed under W.O. Bentley, independent front suspension with torsion bars, and Frank Feeley's long-bonneted coachwork. This drophead coupe is chassis 12104, one of a small number of Sanction 2 cars, which moved the location of the two magnetos for the dual ignition.
It was specified new with an extra-large boot for long continental trips. A body-off, nut-and-bolt restoration was carried out some years ago. New ash was let into the frame where needed, the mechanicals were rebuilt, and the car was finished in pale grey with grey Connolly hides and a blue double duck hood and hood bag. A full photographic record of the work comes with it.
Since the restoration it has covered only a few thousand miles, used sparingly in dry weather, and has won Lagonda club awards. The car is in Belgium and has been in a small collection for several years. The page shows the price as €230,000, marked "Accepted". No mileage is stated.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Engine details only: the well-documented Meadows-based 4,453cc straight-six made by Lagonda at Staines. I couldn't confirm factory figures for power, weight or performance for the 1936 Drophead Coupe, so they are left null.).
£230,000 since it was listed on 6 November 2026. No changes yet.
