This is a Suffolk Sports Cars recreation of the pre-war Jaguar SS100, the model that gave Jaguar its name. Suffolk built close to 200 of them and they are regarded as among the best of the SS100 evocations. Unlike the 2.5 and 3.5-litre originals, this one uses a Jaguar 4.2-litre XK straight-six with HD8 SU carburettors, paired with a manual gearbox with overdrive.
It was commissioned by its current owner in 2005 and passed its SVA/IVA test in 2009. That means it is registered on its own identity rather than borrowing a donor car's, as many Suffolks do. The finish is Old English White over Burgundy leather. Details include decorative rivets along the front wings, a period-style handbrake, a Silverstone steering wheel and period dials. It also has a luggage rack, tonneau cover, wet weather gear and a concealed heater.
The indicated mileage is 24,358, and the car has made several European tours, including trips to Classic Le Mans. It comes with a current V5, an MOT valid until September 2026 and a file of invoices and related history.
