This Series 1 4.2-litre E-Type fixed-head coupé has unusually well-documented royal history. It was delivered new on 12 April 1965 to Prince Michael of Kent, who had it registered in Germany while he served with the 11th Hussars. He used it on the autobahn and the Nürburgring, and later at Goodwood, where period photographs show the car in his hands.
Later owners included the coachbuilder Offord & Co. The file is said to include photographs, correspondence from Kensington Palace and Lord March, and a stack of expired tax discs and MoT certificates. The dealer says the personal letters will pass only to the next owner.
The car is finished in its original Opalescent dark green over light tan leather, with a Webasto sunroof and a front badge bar seen in the period pictures. It is described as matching-numbers and close to concours. Recent work includes a full engine rebuild and new suspension bushes. No mileage is stated.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Jaguar's 1964–65 published specs for the 4.2 XK engine (265 bhp gross SAE, 4235 cc). Performance and weight figures from that period came from magazine road tests, not Jaguar, so they are left null.).
£245,000 since it was listed on 6 November 2026. No changes yet.
