This is a right-hand-drive Series 1 E-Type 4.2 fixed-head coupe, the 1964-on car with the larger XK six, more torque and a gearbox with synchromesh on all ratios. Its Jaguar Heritage Certificate gives a build date of 7 October 1965 and records despatch to its first owner in Nairobi, Kenya, as a personal export.
The colour is a special-order Opalescent Dark Blue with a light tan interior, here described as beige leather with matching carpets. The dealer believes the car spent most of its life in East Africa before returning to Europe around 2009. The restorer bought it in Düsseldorf in 2014.
A marque specialist has carried out a complete component-off restoration. Upgrades include an aluminium coolant tank, a Kenlowe fan, suspension changes and steering rack supports. The engine has been rebuilt by Lux Classics, which is still making post-restoration adjustments and running the car in. Mileage and price are not stated, and the price is on application.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Jaguar factory 4.2 Series 1 specification (265 bhp gross); top speed, 0-60 and weight left null because the period figures come from press road tests, not Jaguar).
