This is an early Series 1 E-Type roadster with the original 3.8-litre straight-six and the four-speed Moss gearbox, the combination many enthusiasts consider the purest expression of Jaguar's 1961 landmark. It is finished in Opalescent Silver with a red interior, a heritage-correct pairing, and runs on 15-inch chrome wire wheels.
The car was first delivered through New York Jaguar and came back to the UK in 2016. A full nut-and-bolt restoration was completed in 2023, including a rebuild of the engine and gearbox, and the car retains its matching-numbers status. It has an original Marston-style aluminium radiator and a stainless steel exhaust with period-correct manifolds.
Only 200 miles have been covered since the restoration. In 2025 it received electronic ignition and a high-torque starter motor to improve starting and reliability. The restoration work was carried out by E-Type UK, which also approves the car.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Jaguar's period specification (3781cc XK straight-six, 265 bhp gross SAE); the well-known 150 mph and 0-60 figures were magazine road-test results, so they are left blank.).
£159,990 since it was listed on 5 November 2026. No changes yet.
