Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Series I

This 1964 Series I E-Type fixed-head coupe is a restomod rather than a strict recreation. It has been taken back to bare metal and rebuilt by CKL Developments, a job the page puts at £400,000, and finished in black over burgundy leather.

The 3.8-litre straight-six has been tuned and carries triple Weber carburettors, with a 5-speed Getrag gearbox in place of the original four-speed. Other changes aim at usability: electric power steering, climate control, a bespoke suspension setup with fully adjustable dampers, uprated vented brakes, a performance diaphragm clutch and a Bell stainless steel exhaust. It runs on 16-inch staggered wire wheels, and the specification also lists Jeney fuel injection and three-point belts.

A Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust production certificate accompanies the car. The odometer reads 20,000 miles, though the page does not say how many of those came after the restoration.
