This is a late Series 1 3.8 E-type fixed-head coupe with an unusual backstory. It was built in left-hand drive and delivered new to Emil Frey in Zurich, Jaguar's Swiss distributor. It later went to the USA and reached the UK in 1996.
The restoration was completed by 2016 and covered the bodywork, which was done by Doncaster Jaguar specialists, and a mechanical overhaul. The car was converted to right-hand drive and is described as a matching-numbers example. The engine was rebuilt in 2011 and has covered under 3,000 miles since.
Upgrades include a Getrag five-speed gearbox, a Kenlowe cooling fan, chrome wire wheels and a modern radio with DAB, Bluetooth and USB. The car is finished in Opalescent Dark Blue with grey upholstery. A large restoration file comes with it, and E-Type UK in Kent has looked after it in recent years. No mileage is stated.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Jaguar factory specification (265 bhp gross at 5,500 rpm, 3,781 cc XK straight-six); the well-known 150 mph and 0-60 times come from period magazine tests, not the factory, so they are left null.).
£104,500 since it was listed on 5 November 2026. No changes yet.
