This is a Lynx-built recreation of the Lindner-Nöcker Low Drag E-Type Lightweight, made from the original drawings supplied to Lynx by Peter Nöcker. It follows Malcolm Sayer's Low Drag shape, with a new steel monocoque and updated chassis frames. The bonnet, doors, boot lid, rear wings and roof are hand-welded 16-gauge aluminium, including the external riveting.
The 3.8-litre engine is the original matching-numbers unit, rebuilt by Lynx for road and track. It has period Jaguar wide-angle heads, a lightweight crank, dry-sump lubrication, an aluminium gas-flowed head and triple Weber carburettors. Output is quoted at 320 bhp at 5,800 rpm and 340 lb ft at 3,800 rpm, and it drives through a manual gearbox. Track equipment includes adjustable suspension, large multi-pot brakes, an FIA-approved fuel cell and a roll cage.
A mechanical restoration was carried out in 2008, when the engine was rebuilt to race specification and the rear axle and suspension were overhauled. Invoices from Crosthwaite & Gardiner and CKL are on file, and the car was previously FIA FT3 and MSA HTP registered. It is right-hand drive with a black Connolly hide interior. The page gives no mileage, and the price is on application.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (One-off works-supported racing E-Type (4868 WK), rebuilt by Lynx after its 1964 Montlhéry crash. Only the 3.8-litre aluminium-block straight-six layout is well documented. No published factory performance or weight figures exist, so those are null.).
