This 1965 E-Type is a Series 1 4.2 roadster, the version that brought more torque from the XK six and an all-synchromesh gearbox in place of the old Moss unit. It is finished in Opalescent Silver with a red Connolly leather interior, red carpets and a black mohair hood.
The car was bought by J.D Classics in 2013 and given a full restoration. The rebuilt engine is described as still dry. It has since been modified for use: a J.D Classics five-speed gearbox, an uprated cooling system with electric fans, and uprated brakes. Bluetooth and iPhone connectivity are fitted, and the car comes with its jack and tools.
The page lists 2,500 miles. It has been maintained by Jim Stokes Workshops, with invoices for regular servicing and maintenance. The price is on application.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Jaguar factory figures for the Series 1 4.2 (265 bhp gross, 4235cc XK six); I left top speed, 0-60 and weight null because the usual numbers come from road tests, not Jaguar.).
