This is chassis 860052, the 52nd right-hand-drive E-Type coupé built and an early 'flat floor' car from the first months of production. It was supplied new through Imperial Motor Mart of Cheltenham in December 1961. Its first owner was T F Rimell, better known as Fred Rimell, the champion National Hunt jockey and Grand National-winning trainer. A Heritage Certificate confirms matching numbers and the original colour combination of Old English White over red leather.
The car was exported to Australia in 1966 and spent some 30 years with one owner. It was recommissioned in 2010 by Classic Throttle Shop in New South Wales, including a refinish in its original colours, and returned to the UK in 2014. It keeps its correct bucket seats, aluminium dashboard and wood-rim steering wheel.
In December 2025 Furlonger carried out an extensive service costing £13,634, and the bill is available. A small file of invoices and correspondence comes with the car. It has been dry stored since around 2015 and is offered with UK taxes paid. No mileage is stated.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Jaguar's 1961 published engine figures (265 bhp gross SAE at 5,500 rpm, 3,781 cc XK straight-six). The often-quoted 150 mph and 0-60 times come from period road tests, not Jaguar, so they are left null.).
£89,950 since it was listed on 6 November 2026. No changes yet.
