This is an early right-hand-drive E-Type fixed-head coupé, chassis 860052, the 52nd RHD coupé built. It is a 3.8-litre 'flat floor' car, a type prized by E-Type enthusiasts. A Heritage Certificate confirms matching numbers and the original combination of Old English White over red leather.
It was sold new in December 1961 through Imperial Motor Mart of Cheltenham to T F Rimell, the National Hunt jockey and trainer Fred Rimell. In 1966 it was exported to Australia, where one owner kept it for about 30 years. A recommissioning by Classic Throttle Shop in 2010 included a refinish in the original colours. The car returned to the UK in 2014 and has been dry stored since around 2015.
It keeps its correct bucket seats, aluminium dashboard and wood-rim steering wheel. In December 2025 Furlonger carried out an extensive service costing £13,634, and a detailed bill is available. A small file of invoices and correspondence comes with it, and UK taxes are paid. No mileage is stated.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Jaguar's 1961 published engine figures (265 bhp gross SAE at 5,500 rpm, 3,781 cc XK straight-six). The often-quoted 150 mph and 0-60 times come from period road tests, not Jaguar, so they are left null.).
£89,950 since it was listed on 5 November 2026. No changes yet.
