This is chassis 004 of the Matech-built Ford GT1, a Swiss-engineered racing version of the modern Ford GT. The page cites both six and four as the number of GT1-specification cars, so the exact production figure is worth confirming with the dealer. Power comes from a Roush Yates 5.3-litre 'Cammer' V8 driving through a six-speed Xtrac sequential gearbox.
The car was delivered new to Marc VDS Racing for 2010. It took GT1 pole and the class win at the 1000km of Spa, in heavy rain and a red-flag stoppage, in a Ford 1-2-3. It then qualified second in class at Le Mans, where it led the class before a puncture ended its race after 26 laps. It was later sold to Uwe Alzen, converted to GT3 specification and raced in the VLN, setting a Nordschleife lap record in 2016.
A private owner bought it in 2022 and had Gipimotor in Belgium restore it to GT1 specification and 2010 Marc VDS livery. The chassis was inspected and jigged, the safety systems were renewed, and Accel Moteur rebuilt the engine in August 2024. On the dyno it made 690bhp unrestricted and 630bhp with the correct air restrictors. It has covered only shakedown mileage since, and comes with a spares package that includes two sets of wheels, carbon brake discs and a spare subframe. The price is on application, and EU taxes are paid.
