Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona

This is a 1973 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona, one of the last built and one of only 156 right-hand-drive cars from a total run of 1,406. It has always been UK registered and has a matching-numbers engine and gearbox. The Daytona was the final front-engined V12 Ferrari berlinetta of its era. It uses the 4.4-litre Colombo-derived four-cam V12 with six Weber carburettors and a five-speed manual gearbox.

The car has had a full bare-metal repaint in Corsa Chiaro and a complete engine rebuild including ancillaries. The dealer says it has been dyno tested and runs above factory specification. The interior has recently been retrimmed in tan leather with black inserts and new carpets. It keeps its factory air conditioning, electric windows, original 8-track stereo and 9-inch rear wheels.

MOTs dating back to 1979 support a mileage of about 43,000. The history file includes the original factory and dealer order and transit invoices, the leather document pouch, the warranty card, the tool roll and copies of historic V5 documents, road tax records and maintenance invoices. The car is sold with a valuable registration plate that is available under separate negotiation.
