This 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona is one of only 156 right-hand-drive cars built, finished in Rosso Chiaro with a black Vaumol hide interior. The Daytona was the last of the front-engined V12 Ferrari GTs of its era, with Pininfarina styling and Scaglietti-built bodies.
It was supplied new through Maranello Concessionaires in July 1972 to a buyer in Perth, Scotland, and later passed to Sir Elton John, who kept it for about two years. The car is described as numbers matching and retaining much of its original factory specification, and it has covered 82,000 miles.
Two large history files include the original bill of sale and period correspondence, with records of regular work by Ferrari main dealers and leading UK specialists. The car has been inspected and passed for Ferrari Classiche Red Book certification, and has had significant recent expenditure.
