This 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Pinin Farina Coupe, chassis 1301, was one of only 353 built. It left the factory in Rosso Bordeaux with a Grigio Conchiglia roof over a Nero interior. It was also specified with a bonnet scoop, a feature normally reserved for the Pinin Farina Cabriolets.
It was delivered new to Paris through Franco Britannic Autos and still carries the supplying dealer's plaque in the engine bay. It returned to the factory in 1961 to have Dunlop disc brakes fitted in place of the original drums, which Ferrari Classiche has confirmed in recent correspondence. Its engine was swapped in France with that of the one-off Prince Bertil coupe, chassis 0853 GT, and the two cars were later reunited with their original engines under US collector Lee Herrington.
A full restoration in Canada cost around $350,000. The car later passed through a UK collection and a Scottish owner before the selling dealer bought it back in 2021. Since then it has had an engine-out detail and overhaul, refurbished Borrani wheels and a suspension refresh. Classiche has inspected it and confirmed the numbers as correct and matching, and certification is still in progress.
