The 250 GT Ellena is one of the rarer early Ferrari road cars. Carrozzeria Ellena took over series production of the 250 GT from Boano in 1957, raising the roofline by two inches and dropping the front quarter lights for a cleaner profile. Only 50 were built.
Chassis 0871 GT was the 45th of them, completed on 8 May 1958 and exported to the United States through Luigi Chinetti Motors in Greenwich. The original Certificate of Origin signed by Enzo Ferrari still comes with the car. It is described as fully matching numbers, with chassis, body, engine and gearbox all original to the car.
It is finished in Silver Blue over Dark Blue with blue leather, and shows 67,926 miles. It has been with one prominent collector for more than 25 years and comes with a well-documented history file.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Engine layout from Ferrari historical records for the Colombo V12. No confident published factory performance figures for the 1958 Ellena-bodied coupé, so those are left blank.).
