Listed today at Hall & Hall, Bourne. Last checked today.
The Chevron B9 is a 1968 single-seat Formula 3 racing car from the Bolton-based marque that later became better known for its sports-racers. This example is thought to have run as the Sports Motors entry in British F3 that year, driven by Peter Gethin and Tim Shenken.
Its later history is well traced: Barry Maskell bought it for 1969, after which it passed to Ian Raby for F4. It dropped out of sight in the mid-1980s and was rediscovered on the outskirts of Manchester about a decade later.
The dealer has owned it recently and raced it at the Oulton Park Gold Cup and a Goodwood Members' Meeting. It has a fresh engine from Geoff Richardson and new HTP papers valid until 2036, so it is ready for historic events.
