Chassis 021 is one of 26 Chevron B23s built and is believed to be the only one upgraded to B27S specification, with a 3.0-litre Cosworth DFV, the Formula 1 engine, in place of the usual smaller sports-prototype power. Chevron was founded by Derek Bennett in 1965 and by the mid-1970s was a regular rival to Lola in sports-prototype racing.
The car is believed to be the one in which Eris Tondelli took multiple Italian hill climb and Interserie wins in 1974 and 1975. It is also thought to be the car Mauro Nesti drove at the 1977 Monza World Sports Car Championship round, and to the 1977 Targa Florio, the last one held, where it took a class win and fourth overall.
Atlantic Racing returned it to full 1974 specification, and it has since been campaigned in Peter Auto's CER2 series, often winning overall with Martin O'Connell driving. It changed hands in 2023 and won by a large margin at Paul Ricard in August 2024. It is presented as ready for CER2 and Masters Sports Car Legends grids.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (No verifiable factory specs: Chevron (Bolton, UK) built mid-engined RWD competition cars; the B27 was a 1974 single-seater, and a 'B27S' variant can't be confirmed.).
