Chevron B8 BMW

Mitchell Curated
1969 · Bright Blue
Listed today at Hall & Hall, Bourne. Last checked today.
The Chevron B8 was a compact sports-racer from the Bolton marque, and this 1969 car is one of only a handful fitted from new with the Ford FVA 1600cc engine. It is believed to have been used by Red Rose Racing, the Chevron works team, in international races during the 1969 season.
The history is documented, with a confirmed ownership chain, a copy of the Chevron build record and letters on file. In the 1980s it was successful in the Atlantic Computers championship. In the 1990s the FVA was replaced by a BMW engine, the more common choice, for the RJB Mining series.
It has not been used for some time and needs light recommissioning. A large amount of spares comes with it, including wheels and bodywork. The price is on application.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Chevron Cars (Bolton) Group 4 sports-racer; engines varied car to car (mostly BMW 2.0, some Cosworth FVA), so no single factory output, weight or performance figures can be confirmed. Figures left null.).
