The Continental R was Bentley's first car in decades with its own bodywork rather than a Rolls-Royce shared shell, and it paired that two-door coupe shape with the long-serving 6.75-litre turbocharged V8 and a four-speed automatic. This 1997 car is finished in Diamond Graphite over light grey leather with dark grey piping.
It carries the uncommon Suspension Pack 2 option, which brought 18-inch Continental T wheels and 6mm spacers while keeping the standard wheel arches. Other details include a diamond mesh grille, a Flying B mascot above it, individual rear seats and a centre rear seat pad that can be fitted for a third passenger.
The displayed mileage is 87,570. The history file shows annual servicing at P&A Wood until 2015, including replacement head gaskets at 70,000 miles, with specialist servicing since. The car won awards, including Best in Show, at a Rolls-Royce & Bentley Enthusiasts Club display at Hever Castle in 2025 and 2026.
