Bentley Continental R

The Continental R arrived in 1991 as Bentley's flagship grand tourer, a hand-built two-door powered by the 6.75-litre turbocharged V8 from the Turbo R. This one dates from the 1996 model year, when Bentley made its most significant updates to the car since launch, including sharper throttle response, better economy and digitally controlled turbo over-boost.

This example was first registered in February 1996 and is finished in solid blue with 17-inch Azure wheels, over a parchment leather and walnut interior. It shows 64,000 miles and has had five previous owners. Right-hand-drive cars made up 544 of the 1,292 Continental Rs built between 1992 and 2001.

The dealer says it was sold in 2022 to a private collection that it manages, and has covered under 1,000 miles since then, being started regularly while in storage. The sale is stated to include a full service and MOT.
