About this car

A 1931 Austin 7 in Swallow form, fitted with a special Ulster-style rear body, a combination that appeals to Austin 7 enthusiasts. It is finished in green.

It keeps its original 750cc side-valve engine, with an updraft Zenith carburettor, and a three-speed manual gearbox. Hydraulic brakes have been fitted as an upgrade.

The car was restored with the body off by marque specialist Ian Bancroft, who repainted the body and rebuilt the engine and gearbox. The current owner bought it as part of a small collection and has used it very little. A large history file comes with it.

Performance

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Only the standard Austin Seven drivetrain facts are given: 747cc side-valve four, front engine, RWD. 'Swallow Ulster' isn't a factory variant I can verify. Swallow coachbuilt Austin Seven bodies, and Austin built the Ulster sports model. No published figures could be confirmed, so the rest is null.).
