This 1971 Austin Mini is a Cooper S recreation built to fast road specification, finished in Tartan Red with a black roof. It was first registered on 1 June 1971.
The engine is the main event. A 1275cc block from an Austin 1300GT has been bored to 1310cc, then lightened and balanced. It has a tuftrided crankshaft, a Kent 276 fast road camshaft and a ported MG Metro cylinder head, fed by twin 1.25-inch SU carburettors and cooled by a twin-core radiator.
The chassis has heavy-duty tie rods with poly bushes and adjustable suspension trumpets at both ends. Genuine Cooper S 7.5-inch front discs sit behind Revolution alloy wheels. Inside are black Cobra bucket seats with red piping and an engraved Moto-Lita steering wheel, and the lightweight fibreglass bonnet lifts off for access. The page gives no mileage or ownership history.
